The Wild Almanac (2).png

Long before almanacs held planting dates and tide tables, people read the weather of the year from the sky. They read the stars to help guide them over the coming season: when to sow, when to rest, when to bank the fire against the dark.

The Wild Almanac carries that old practice forward, with new perspective. This is a personal guide to your year that reads the sky the way our ancestors read the land: as something living, relational and full of meaning. It is rooted in current understandings of psyche reflecting the outer world.

This is not a forecast of events. It is an invitation into relationship with the elements and planets, archetypes and living myth, with animal guides and turning seasons, and with the deeper currents moving through your own life.

What's Inside Your Almanac...

The Elemental Weather
of 2027

2027 is a year of fire and air, with earth arriving at midsummer and water scarce in the sky. You'll explore what this shared weather asks of you, as well as the meaning of the elements particular to your chart. You'll receive ecospiritual practices for living in relationship with these correspondences in you.

The Thresholds and Myths
of Your Year

The major planetary transits moving through your chart this year: where you are being asked to grow, to release, to rest, to remember or begin again. Your Almanac will reflect the primary planets moving in your chart, which represent mythic stories and archetypes with meaning for your life.

Your Year on the Wheel

Your thresholds are placed on the Celtic Wheel of the Year, from Imbolc to Samhain, so you know which season of the land each one arrives in. Your year becomes something you embody, season by season. Seasonal rituals accompany each season.

2027- A Pivotal Year of the Turning of the Ages

Across many wisdom and spiritual traditions, people have been naming 2027 as a turning point: both as an end of a world, and the beginning of a new way of being human in relationship with the rest of the alive cosmoecological field. Here are a few examples:

  • Astrology. The slowest-moving planets, the ones that mark generations and eras, have all changed signs in the past two years. Pluto has entered Aquarius, ending an approximately 2,160 year cycle and beginning a new one, Uranus in Gemini until 2033, and Neptune entered into Aries until 2039. In early 2026, Saturn and Neptune met at the very first degree of the zodiac, opening a cycle of about thirty-six years. 2027 is the first full year we live inside this new sky.

  • Human Design. February 2027 marks the end of a global cycle that began in 1615, the Cross of Planning. An era shaped by collective agreements and by institutions built to keep people groups safe. The cycle that follows is the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix, an era oriented toward inner authority, individual sovereignty and the courage to be wholly ourselves. It is linked to a mutation in emotional awareness, a new way of feeling and knowing.

  • Gene Keys. Richard Rudd has spoken of 2027 as a threshold in the slow emergence of a new kind of human, a mutation awakening in our DNA, with the 55th Gene Key, Freedom, as its catalyst. He calls this the Great Change.

  • Deep Ecology. Read from the ground of the living Earth, the deep ecologist and Buddhist teacher Joanna Macy called this the time of the Great Turning. She named the Great Turning as the shift from an industrial growth society to a life-sustaining civilization, a revolution as great as the agricultural and industrial revolutions before it.

These are slightly different languages, but they describe the same thing: something old is completing, and something new is emerging. Like the phoenix, it rises from the fire, and 2027 is, fittingly, a year of fire.

How to meet this turning

Great changes are rarely as sudden as we imagine. Many are saying this will be a time of very rapid change. And also... it will move through us slowly, in the body, in relationships, with the land, season by season. The question isn’t how to brace against what difficulties may come. It’s how to stay rooted enough to grow with it.

We prepare the way people have always prepared for a hard season. Knowing the land we live on, knowing what we carry including our shadow, knowing which way the wind is blowing. We tend the fire and go to the well within. We stay close to the creatures and to one another. And, this time is not like the past. It is largely unknown. We prepare by orienting to the disorientation. By becoming comfortable in the unknown, and learning to listen more deeply to our Mother, the Earth, in her billions of years of experience of re-generating herself.

The Wild Almanac is made for this. It helps you see where the great change is touching your life, so you can meet each threshold with presence, practice and courage, as an active participant in what’s being born.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know astrology?
Nope! Not at all. The Almanac is written to be read and lived with, not decoded.

Is this a prediction of what will happen?
No. The Almanac describes the seasons and invitations of your year, not fixed events. It’s a companion for meeting your year more consciously.

What if I don’t know my birth time?
Your Almanac can still be made. Some details, like house placements, will be more general.

Can I order for someone else?
Yes. Choose the gift option in your email and purchase. Your recipient will provide their own birth information to Valerie
